Accessibility – One Longfellow Square

Portland Ovations welcomes people of all abilities to our performances and programs, both digital and in person. Ovations presents in multiple platforms and in multiple venues in the Greater Portland area, and it is a priority for us that all our events be ADA-compliant. We  all deserve access, and all have different access needs.

Accessibility at One Longfellow Square, Portland

Parking

There is no designated parking at One Longfellow Square. There is ample street parking in the neighborhood around the venue. Please do not park in neighborhood parking lots. Nearby parking is available at the SP+ Garage (181 High St next to the Westin Harborview Hotel), which is a 5-minute walk from the venue.

Patrons can be dropped off at the main entrance to the venue, located at 181 State St.

Building Entry

Doors are located on Longfellow Square at sidewalk level. Entry into the building has no steps.

There is no coat check available at this venue, so we encourage you to leave any large bags or backpacks at home or in your vehicle.

Ticketing & Box Office

PortTIX mobile box office can be accessed in the One Longfellow Square lobby, located just inside the main entry doors. The box offers ticket sales and will-call pickup one hour prior to the start of each performance. Regular PortTIX hours are Monday through Friday from 11AM – 3PM located at 400 Congress Street in Portland.

Mobile tickets are also issued and can be accessed through your email. The QR code typically cannot be printed, so you MUST bring a mobile phone to the event on which to display the email with the Mobile Tickets for entry. Mobile tickets are sent to your email the day of purchase. To locate them in your inbox search ‘Your Mobile Tickets’, it will come from boxoffice@porttix.com.

Restrooms

One gender-neutral, single-stall accessible restroom, and a multi-stall women’s restroom is located on the ground floor off the lobby.

Ramps & Elevators

The lobby and entry into the theater is on one floor of the building. Entry to the seating area is ramped. Please note that the balcony is only accessible by stairs and there is no elevator available.

Assisted Listening

Assistive Listening Devices are not available at this venue. Ear plugs are available at the concessions bar.

Sign Language Interpretation

ASL interpretation will be provided for the April 16 performance of Coast to Coast. Interpretation services for the April 17 performance are available upon request. Please contact Portland Ovations’ Accessibility Coordinator, Katelyn Manfre at kmanfre@portlandovations.org for more information or to request these services.

Seating Details

Seating at this venue is General Admission and consists of cushioned, free-standing chairs that can be adjusted for flexibility as needed. Wheelchairs can be accommodated in any part of the main seating area.

Patrons should contact the PortTIX box office in advance of the performance to ensure any needs are met. This can be done by calling 207.842.0800 or emailing boxoffice@porttix.com.

 

Service Animals

Service animals are always welcome, and this venue offers easy access to the outdoors. We ask that animals be kept on a leash or harness at all times.

Concessions

Concessions are served at One Longfellow Square, including snacks, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages. No alcohol may be consumed or taken out of the building.
