After a search with several strong candidates, Portland Ovations is pleased to announce its newest team member, Sam Dooley, Finance and Operations Manager.
“Record sales and sold-out shows say it all – it’s a great time to be joining Portland Ovations,” says Dooley. “I’m thankful for the opportunity to support this team, whose thoughtful work and dedication to the arts is sure to propel Ovations into a period of growth just ahead of the hundredth anniversary.”
Prior to joining Ovations, Dooley was part of the Finance Team at the Portland Museum of Art where she deepened her understanding of nonprofit business structure and the unique activities of philanthropic and arts organizations. Under the tutelage of her grandfather, Dooley became a proponent of art for all, and all the arts, at a young age. This became her guiding principle while working to find direction and purpose in life. Not an artist herself, but with a knack for detail and process, the tide of life seemed to propel her towards the world of arts administration.
