Yo-Yo Ma & Kathryn Stott : Offstage Activities

Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and Rachmaninoff were born nine years apart in Russia. They were not friends and they wrote music that was distinctly different from each other. All three shaped the music history of the 20th century in their separate ways. Dr. Anthony Antolini, a faculty member of the Bowdoin Music Department, presents portraits of each of these musical giants and shows how their compositions affected music and how we hear it up to the present day.
