EDUCATORS AND HOMESCHOOL PARENTS! Attend our FREE one day (10AM to 2PM) storytelling arts integration Professional Development Workshop for early elementary educators and homeschool parents preK-2nd grade. We will model how educators at each grade level can use I Love My Little Storybook to incorporate multiple learning modalities through the performing arts to cultivate curiosity and the love of reading in the classroom.

All registered attendees will receive a free copy of I Love My Little Storybook.

Learn O2’s adaptable model for early literacy storytelling and movement including arts activities. Workshop activities will meet Maine Early Learning and Development Standards for dramatic play, performance, movement and dance. Samples of developmentally aligned assessments will be reviewed.

Guest teaching artist MAT MECA Graduate Ouda Baxter will also demonstrate grade appropriate fine arts integration activities.

Bring your own storybook and apply what you’ve learned to another text that you will use in your classroom during the year, and share your ideas and questions with colleagues for feedback and ideas during the day.

Please bring your own lunch and participate in the discussion: How can Ovations Offstage best support your arts-integration practice?  Beverages and snacks will be provided.

Participation in this event will provide educators a chance to maximize the impact and scope of their students attendance to School-Time Performance of I Love My Little Storybook & Guess How Much I Love You presented by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, the same company  that brought Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Other Treasured Stories by Eric Carle to the Ovations in October 2017.

3.0 Credit Hours Certificate provided for full-day workshop participation.
