ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE Join the movement that changed the Constitution in it’s fight to add the 19th Amendment – the first step in giving women the right to vote. This dramatization of a young White woman’s experience as a suffragette during World War l brings to life the rock stars who led the change, such as Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton; the generation who continued the fight, like Alice Paul and Lucy Burns; as well as those who opposed it – including her own parents. The performance is bookended by an introduction and post-performance talk that provide more context and historical footage. All teachers will receive a virtual copy of Ovation’s Educators Guide with arts integrated lesson plans to extend on the performance and topic. Vote!
