The Berlin Philharmonic Wind Quintet astonishes audiences with their range of expression, their tonal spectrum and their conceptual unity, and redefines the sound of the classic wind quintet. Their repertoire covers the entire spectrum of wind quintet literature as well as works for larger ensembles, including the Sextets of Janácek and Reinicke and the Septets of Hindemith and Koechlin. Their Portland recital highlights their expansive repertoire, featuring works by Mozart balanced against 20th-century masters Gyorgi Ligeti and Pavel Haas.
