Rooted in street performance, jazz, and world music traditions, Vancouver’s ScrapArtsMusic is an unparalleled sonic and visual experience. Using one-of-a kind instruments handcrafted from industrial scrap and fueled by the same genius that produced the likes of Blue Man Group and Stomp, ScrapArtsMusic delivers a highly physical, power packed percussion performance with great theatrical flair. These innovative artists stimulate all the senses – bringing together original music, dazzling sculptural instruments, and hyper-kinetic movement.

THIS JUST IN: ScrapArtsMusic will perform at a nightly medal ceremony at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver on February 14, just days after their Portland Ovations performances February 9-10. The powerhouse percussionists will be part of a stellar lineup of Canadian artists performing during the Victory Ceremonies, including Nelly Furtado and Barenaked Ladies. In fact, Furtado will be the headliner at the medal ceremony that also features ScrapArtsMusic.
