Handel & Haydn Society : Offstage Activities

Mary Hunter, A. LeRoy Greason Professor of Music at Bowdoin College, discusses how we often think of concertos as dazzling displays of technical skill. Baroque concertos have this, but they are also about the changing colors and weights of an ensemble. This lecture suggests some things to listen out for in this rich and exciting music.
