BalletX : Offstage Activities

Linda Miele, Artistic Director of the Maine State Ballet and one of Maine’s leading choreographers, explores the differences between modern dance, classical and neoclassical ballet. A former company member of the New York City Ballet where she worked closely with George Balanchine (and is now a repetiteur for the Balanchine Trust), Miele brings a unique perspective on how choreographers interpret music and patterns to get a variety of visual images.

The lecture will take place in the Rehearsal Hall at the Merrill Auditorium.
